Narrative:
We powered out of gate X ramp X on flight X. Our manual indicated ramp X was uncontrolled. We began our taxi to spot X and called ground control who asked us to call ramp control. Upon talking to ramp control we were told ramp X is controled. After looking at the airport NOTAMS one more time, I found the NOTAM about ramp X being controled. I did not see the NOTAM the first time I looked at the airport NOTAMS.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN MLG FAILED TO FIRST CONTACT RAMP CTL PRIOR TO TAXI OUT TO START OF TXWY DUE TO MISUNDERSTANDING THAT THE RAMP HAD NO RAMP CTL. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW OF ARPT INFO THEY REALIZED THAT IT DID HAVE.
