Narrative:
Bermuda NAS to jfk international. On arrival into jfk our flight was cleared to cross owenz at 14000 ft. We were descending to 14000 ft when asked to slow to 280 KTS. The aircraft continued to descend, however, it appears we may have crossed owenz at 14400 ft instead of 14000 ft. ATC did not mention anything about us being at 14400 ft over owenz and we are submitting this report as a constructive measure. I am a flight engineer on the DC10.

Narrative: BERMUDA NAS TO JFK INTL. ON ARR INTO JFK OUR FLT WAS CLRED TO CROSS OWENZ AT 14000 FT. WE WERE DSNDING TO 14000 FT WHEN ASKED TO SLOW TO 280 KTS. THE ACFT CONTINUED TO DSND, HOWEVER, IT APPEARS WE MAY HAVE CROSSED OWENZ AT 14400 FT INSTEAD OF 14000 FT. ATC DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT US BEING AT 14400 FT OVER OWENZ AND WE ARE SUBMITTING THIS RPT AS A CONSTRUCTIVE MEASURE. I AM A FE ON THE DC10.
