Narrative:
Location: RWY25L. Upon touching down at lax and with airspeed between 100-120 KTS, tower told us to take the high speed and hold short of runway 25R. Due to workload at this time and internal airspeed callouts we did not respond right away, preferring to concentrate at the task of stopping the aircraft. At approximately 60 KTS, tower queried us again and we responded with acknowledgement. He asked us why we had not responded before and we replied that we were too busy at the time. He said, you fly into here every day -- don't you? No, we are not based here and we don't fly into lax every day. The tower seems to think that once the nosewheel touches down that our job is over. We believe that we properly assigned our priorities and the tower should not make assumptions about what they think we are doing or how often we fly there. In fact, the captain normally flies europe and stated he had not been to lax in several yrs. Tower needs to be made cognizant of this.

Title: FLC OF B757 RECEIVES INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF HIGH SPD EXIT AND HOLD SHORT JUST AFTER TOUCHDOWN. DUE TO WORKLOAD THEY ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. TWR IS RATHER OBNOXIOUS IN THEIR RESPONSE TO FLC. ATCT FLC COM PROB.
Narrative: LOCATION: RWY25L. UPON TOUCHING DOWN AT LAX AND WITH AIRSPD BTWN 100-120 KTS, TWR TOLD US TO TAKE THE HIGH SPD AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 25R. DUE TO WORKLOAD AT THIS TIME AND INTERNAL AIRSPD CALLOUTS WE DID NOT RESPOND RIGHT AWAY, PREFERRING TO CONCENTRATE AT THE TASK OF STOPPING THE ACFT. AT APPROX 60 KTS, TWR QUERIED US AGAIN AND WE RESPONDED WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. THE TWR SEEMS TO THINK THAT ONCE THE NOSEWHEEL TOUCHES DOWN THAT OUR JOB IS OVER. WE BELIEVE THAT WE PROPERLY ASSIGNED OUR PRIORITIES AND THE TWR SHOULD NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT WHAT THEY THINK WE ARE DOING OR HOW OFTEN WE FLY THERE. IN FACT, THE CAPT NORMALLY FLIES EUROPE AND STATED HE HAD NOT BEEN TO LAX IN SEVERAL YRS. TWR NEEDS TO BE MADE COGNIZANT OF THIS.
