Narrative:

During taxi out at pasco airport, tower informed us that our aft galley exterior door handle was not aligned properly. Since all cockpit indications showed the door closed and locked, I decided it was safe to proceed with the flight. A misaligned exterior door handle on this aircraft cannot cause the door to open nor can it cause an unsafe condition. The flight was completed without any problems. In the future, however, I will stop the aircraft and have the handle aligned. I did not consider the perception of other people.
