Narrative:
Upon departure from newark airport we proceeded wbound on a 300 degree heading. We were subsequently released from ATC control and proceeded toward our destination on a VFR transponder code. I was PF and captain was PNF who was familiar with the newark area but had not flown there recently. He told me to climb to 4500 ft MSL for our cruise. Upon reaching that altitude the captain recognized that we had climbed prematurely and were inside the outer shelf of newark class B airspace. I immediately descended and the flight proceeded without further incident. In the future, better preflight planning, and my not deferring to the captain's experience to ascertain my own positional awareness would have contributed significantly to preventing the situation.

Title: RPTR FLC, DEPARTING CLASS B ARPT AND WITH NO FLT PLAN, INADVERTENTLY CLBED BACK INTO CLASS B. THEY REALIZED IT QUICKLY AND DSNDED OUT OF THE CLASS B.
Narrative: UPON DEP FROM NEWARK ARPT WE PROCEEDED WBOUND ON A 300 DEG HDG. WE WERE SUBSEQUENTLY RELEASED FROM ATC CTL AND PROCEEDED TOWARD OUR DEST ON A VFR XPONDER CODE. I WAS PF AND CAPT WAS PNF WHO WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE NEWARK AREA BUT HAD NOT FLOWN THERE RECENTLY. HE TOLD ME TO CLB TO 4500 FT MSL FOR OUR CRUISE. UPON REACHING THAT ALT THE CAPT RECOGNIZED THAT WE HAD CLBED PREMATURELY AND WERE INSIDE THE OUTER SHELF OF NEWARK CLASS B AIRSPACE. I IMMEDIATELY DSNDED AND THE FLT PROCEEDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. IN THE FUTURE, BETTER PREFLT PLANNING, AND MY NOT DEFERRING TO THE CAPT'S EXPERIENCE TO ASCERTAIN MY OWN POSITIONAL AWARENESS WOULD HAVE CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY TO PREVENTING THE SIT.
