Narrative:
After departing runway 7 made a right turn at 500 ft AGL in accordance with departure procedures. At approximately 700 ft AGL was alerted of traffic by TCASII equipment. Saw single engine cessna on left downwind for runway 12. At this time tower was asking the cessna if he had us in sight. I took the controls from my first officer as he could not see the cessna from his side of the aircraft, added full power and 20 degrees nose up. Notified tower of close proximity and was then handed off to departure. The cessna started a right turn just prior to passing below us at approximately 50 ft.
