Narrative:
I used all radio announcements prior to takeoff, did not hear any aircraft on radio inbound for landing. On takeoff roll, sighted aircraft passing close by on my left at same altitude, tried to contact on radio and on the ground later without success. Do not know if he was on short final and diverted.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL OBSERVED ANOTHER ACFT PASSING CLOSE BY ON HIS L SIDE DURING INITIAL CLBOUT AT APPROX HIS SAME ALT OF 300 FT. HOWEVER, SINCE HE HAD MADE ALL THE APPROPRIATE ANNOUNCEMENTS ON UNICOM PRIOR TO DEP, HE DID NOT KNOW WHERE THE OTHER ACFT CAME FROM, A LNDG GAR OR A TKOF BEHIND HIS ACFT?
Narrative: I USED ALL RADIO ANNOUNCEMENTS PRIOR TO TKOF, DID NOT HEAR ANY ACFT ON RADIO INBOUND FOR LNDG. ON TKOF ROLL, SIGHTED ACFT PASSING CLOSE BY ON MY L AT SAME ALT, TRIED TO CONTACT ON RADIO AND ON THE GND LATER WITHOUT SUCCESS. DO NOT KNOW IF HE WAS ON SHORT FINAL AND DIVERTED.
