Narrative:

Short flight from fnt to dtw in east michigan, only as high as 6000 ft in a B727. Vectored to intercept 343 degree radial into dtw, heading 140 degrees, began briefing approach to ILS runway 21L. Approach (or center) control called us and asked us where we were going. We then noticed that we had passed the assigned intercept radial. The controller then just kept us on our heading and vectored us to the ILS intercept (and visual approach). No other traffic was close, no problems noted. Uneventful from there.
