Narrative:

While flying below an overcast layer, the twin appeared above and to my right heading in the opposite direction. We both had our landing lights on because of the reduced visibility. By the time I saw the aircraft, he had already altered course to avoid closing. I turned slightly to the left and the flight continued without further incident. Human factors: fatigue and inattn to airspace outside cockpit.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING BELOW AN OVCST LAYER, THE TWIN APPEARED ABOVE AND TO MY R HEADING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. WE BOTH HAD OUR LNDG LIGHTS ON BECAUSE OF THE REDUCED VISIBILITY. BY THE TIME I SAW THE ACFT, HE HAD ALREADY ALTERED COURSE TO AVOID CLOSING. I TURNED SLIGHTLY TO THE L AND THE FLT CONTINUED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
