Narrative:
I was proceeding west on V430, was approximately 30 NM east of harre (no DME), level at 8000 ft MSL when a fast small 'corporate sized' jet passed me from front to rear (opposite direction) at an angle of about 30 degrees. It appeared to be gray, possibly a military training jet. At no time did I receive any ATC warning about it. It passed very close at exactly 8000 ft as close as I could tell. I was in radar contact at the time, talking to ZLC. Time was XA45 pm local in good VFR. My estimated speed was 120 KTS.
