Inbound to rap, cleared for visual approach. Landing gear down selected. Main gear extended, nose gear failed to extend due to broken nose gear sequencing valve. Loss of #2 hydraulic system. Alternate landing gear extension checklist performed. Gear was successfully locked down. Landed successfully, no aircraft damage. No one injured.

Title: A HYD SEQUENCING VALVE FAILED ON A DHC8-300. THE NOSE GEAR HAD TO BE LOCKED DOWN BY THE EMER PROC.
Narrative: INBOUND TO RAP, CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH. LNDG GEAR DOWN SELECTED. MAIN GEAR EXTENDED, NOSE GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND DUE TO BROKEN NOSE GEAR SEQUENCING VALVE. LOSS OF #2 HYD SYS. ALTERNATE LNDG GEAR EXTENSION CHKLIST PERFORMED. GEAR WAS SUCCESSFULLY LOCKED DOWN. LANDED SUCCESSFULLY, NO ACFT DAMAGE. NO ONE INJURED.
