Narrative:
Controller was working 2 aircraft with similar call signs. He gave us a descent to FL330 which we acknowledged. After the other aircraft did not descend in a reasonable time, the controller asked him to begin his descent to FL330. We then asked the controller if he wanted us at FL330 and he said that 'that clearance was for the other aircraft.' we were then requested to climb back to FL350, no conflict was noted on TCASII and the controller apologized for the misunderstanding.
