Narrative:

Controller told us to turn to heading 070 degrees and contact bay. A few seconds later, when checking on with bay, he told us to turn to 170 degrees, you have traffic at 11 O'clock and 5 mi. Told us to tighten up the turn and we complied. He asked which type of aircraft we were and said that there must have been some confusion on the heading. The crew heard specifically 070 degrees. No other request from ATC or follow-up.
