Narrative:
I was flying from jefferson airport to spirit of st louis at 2500 ft MSL. We were cruising at 140 KTS, clear sky with moderate turbulence. Mid-way on our flight, coming out of turbulence, plane began to vibrate, shaking the whole plane. I pulled back slightly on the yoke and brought back power. At that time (5 to 8 seconds), plane was stable. We landed at spirit of st louis, taxied to hangar and noticed tail cone and skin were badly wrinkled.
