Narrative:
Shortly after takeoff power was applied, the left generator control 'off' light blinked on, power was retarded on both engines (approximately 80 KTS) and the 'off' light extinguished. We exited the runway (runway 8R in atlanta), checked the brake cooling chart and then checked the electrical system for any abnormalities. After being satisfied that all system were normal we requested clearance back to runway 8R for departure. Approximately 10 mins later we applied power for takeoff, noticing the electrical system was normal, made the takeoff and the rest of the flight was uneventful.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: TKOF ABORTED AT LOW SPD IN A B767-300. ACFT EQUIP ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC PANEL PROB.
Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER TKOF PWR WAS APPLIED, THE L GENERATOR CTL 'OFF' LIGHT BLINKED ON, PWR WAS RETARDED ON BOTH ENGS (APPROX 80 KTS) AND THE 'OFF' LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. WE EXITED THE RWY (RWY 8R IN ATLANTA), CHKED THE BRAKE COOLING CHART AND THEN CHKED THE ELECTRICAL SYS FOR ANY ABNORMALITIES. AFTER BEING SATISFIED THAT ALL SYS WERE NORMAL WE REQUESTED CLRNC BACK TO RWY 8R FOR DEP. APPROX 10 MINS LATER WE APPLIED PWR FOR TKOF, NOTICING THE ELECTRICAL SYS WAS NORMAL, MADE THE TKOF AND THE REST OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
