Narrative:
Air driven generator deployed in-flight when APU was shut down in the climb checklist. Requested to return to hpn airport. No emergency involved. As air driven generator deployed the first officer (PNF) saw that both engine generator switches were in the (back) off position. They were immediately moved (forward) to on. Essential power transferred to main AC bus and an uneventful approach and landing followed.
