Narrative:

Landed iah without contact with tower, still on approach control frequency. Never was asked to switch to tower. First officer noticed same frequency was on radio after we landed. We had been cleared for visual approach to runway 27L. Approach control was busy and so were we. We did monitor the frequency all the way to landing. No calls made to us, on guard frequency or approach after cleared for approach. Checklists all accomplished and read out loud. Don't know how to prevent such an error, but I usually switch on taxi (nose) light as a reminder that I was cleared from tower. Obviously I failed to doublechk it this time.
