Narrative:

Continuous radio interference on frequency 134.45 MHZ used for ATC. Reported for several weeks. Problem is reportedly a taxi company (as per PIREPS) in the area. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated the frequency still has the interference and that he was unaware of the cause. Reporter indicated that the technicians are working on the problem. Reporter stated there are other frequency problems within the facility involving outages to the point that sectors are shut down for lack of an available frequency to use. Reporter alleges that the problem is the old equipment. Reporter indicated that af technicians, local and field, are working on the problem at the various transmitter/receiver sites.

Narrative: CONTINUOUS RADIO INTERFERENCE ON FREQ 134.45 MHZ USED FOR ATC. REPORTED FOR SEVERAL WKS. PROB IS REPORTEDLY A TAXI COMPANY (AS PER PIREPS) IN THE AREA. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THE FREQ STILL HAS THE INTERFERENCE AND THAT HE WAS UNAWARE OF THE CAUSE. RPTR INDICATED THAT THE TECHNICIANS ARE WORKING ON THE PROB. RPTR STATED THERE ARE OTHER FREQ PROBS WITHIN THE FACILITY INVOLVING OUTAGES TO THE POINT THAT SECTORS ARE SHUT DOWN FOR LACK OF AN AVAILABLE FREQ TO USE. RPTR ALLEGES THAT THE PROB IS THE OLD EQUIP. RPTR INDICATED THAT AF TECHNICIANS, LCL AND FIELD, ARE WORKING ON THE PROB AT THE VARIOUS XMITTER/RECEIVER SITES.
