Narrative:
At gate running the #1 engine to perform a generator disconnect procedure with maintenance. The tug driver (on interphone) reported a leak from the #1 engine. The engine was shut down, the passenger (77) were immediately deplaned to the gate area. Maintenance put oil dry on the leak (ground) and called for a fire truck as a precaution. The leak stopped when the bottom portion of the engine cowling was drained and cleaned.

Title: A B727, WHILE PERFORMING A GENERATOR DISCONNECT CHK, HAD A FLUID LEAK FROM #1 ENG.
Narrative: AT GATE RUNNING THE #1 ENG TO PERFORM A GENERATOR DISCONNECT PROC WITH MAINT. THE TUG DRIVER (ON INTERPHONE) RPTED A LEAK FROM THE #1 ENG. THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN, THE PAX (77) WERE IMMEDIATELY DEPLANED TO THE GATE AREA. MAINT PUT OIL DRY ON THE LEAK (GND) AND CALLED FOR A FIRE TRUCK AS A PRECAUTION. THE LEAK STOPPED WHEN THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE ENG COWLING WAS DRAINED AND CLEANED.
