Narrative:

I was returning from monterey, landing oakland. It was my first night flight solo. I had mistaken the hayward airport for oakland and began my descent to land. Bay approach noticed that I had gone below 2000 ft and asked if I was maintaining altitude at or above 2000 ft. When they asked me this question, I realized that I was headed for the wrong airport. As I corrected my mistake, I told bay that I was climbing back. Along the way I was also doing what I had to do to maintain VFR cloud clrncs as well as maintaining required altitude.
