Narrative:
During a departure from boston runway 4R, missed a turn to 090 degrees at 4 NM. At XA30L started taxi out for a runway 9 departure in boston. Received our weight and balance, runway 4R and runway 33L were the only runways we could use due to our heavy weight. On our way to runway 9, runway 4R was only a short distance from our current location. We were completing the takeoff checklist, taxiing in low visibility conditions and departing on a landing runway, traffic had been backed up all night. In fact, we were 2.5 hours late. In our haste to complete the checklist, taxi safely and depart between arrival aircraft, we glossed over the departure brief and consequently flew straight out for 7 NM and was then turned by ATC to 090 degree heading. The departure reads turn at 4 NM. I believe fatigue (I was on the last leg of a 13 hour 30 min crew duty day) and feeling slightly rushed contributed to us missing the 4 NM turn on the left/right boston SID.

Title: ACR ACCOUNT OF WT HAD TO USE RWY 4R, LNDG RWY. RUSHING DEP TO FIT INTO THE TFC FLOW, FAILED TO TURN TO 90 DEGS AT 4 MI. CTLR CALLED AT 7 MI AND ISSUED VECTOR TO COURSE.
Narrative: DURING A DEP FROM BOSTON RWY 4R, MISSED A TURN TO 090 DEGS AT 4 NM. AT XA30L STARTED TAXI OUT FOR A RWY 9 DEP IN BOSTON. RECEIVED OUR WT AND BAL, RWY 4R AND RWY 33L WERE THE ONLY RWYS WE COULD USE DUE TO OUR HVY WT. ON OUR WAY TO RWY 9, RWY 4R WAS ONLY A SHORT DISTANCE FROM OUR CURRENT LOCATION. WE WERE COMPLETING THE TKOF CHKLIST, TAXIING IN LOW VISIBILITY CONDITIONS AND DEPARTING ON A LNDG RWY, TFC HAD BEEN BACKED UP ALL NIGHT. IN FACT, WE WERE 2.5 HRS LATE. IN OUR HASTE TO COMPLETE THE CHKLIST, TAXI SAFELY AND DEPART BTWN ARR ACFT, WE GLOSSED OVER THE DEP BRIEF AND CONSEQUENTLY FLEW STRAIGHT OUT FOR 7 NM AND WAS THEN TURNED BY ATC TO 090 DEG HDG. THE DEP READS TURN AT 4 NM. I BELIEVE FATIGUE (I WAS ON THE LAST LEG OF A 13 HR 30 MIN CREW DUTY DAY) AND FEELING SLIGHTLY RUSHED CONTRIBUTED TO US MISSING THE 4 NM TURN ON THE L/R BOSTON SID.
