Narrative:

Flying at FL410 ATC called traffic 1-2 O'clock, leveling FL390. We had a visual on TCASII which showed traffic at FL390 and FL391. We got a TA when the lear (20-30 series) showed up as 1900 ft below us. Approximately 2 seconds later, the lear passed above us approximately 500-1000 ft in our 2-3 O'clock position, opposite direction. The PF had a clear view and said it was a lear 20 or 30 series. I saw the aircraft but not long enough to determine a 20 or 30 series lear. ATC said they did see targets merge and asked us to confirm FL410 and 29.92 inches. We reported checked and also checked onboard avionics diagnostics. No item reflected failure or past fault. Aircraft has 3 separate system for altitude indications -- air data computer #1, #2 and a standby system -- all read FL410.

WE GOT A TA WHEN THE LEAR (20-30 SERIES) SHOWED UP AS 1900 FT BELOW US. APPROX 2 SECONDS LATER, THE LEAR PASSED ABOVE US APPROX 500-1000 FT IN OUR 2-3 O'CLOCK POS, OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THE PF HAD A CLR VIEW AND SAID IT WAS A LEAR 20 OR 30 SERIES. I SAW THE ACFT BUT NOT LONG ENOUGH TO DETERMINE A 20 OR 30 SERIES LEAR. ATC SAID THEY DID SEE TARGETS MERGE AND ASKED US TO CONFIRM FL410 AND 29.92 INCHES. WE RPTED CHKED AND ALSO CHKED ONBOARD AVIONICS DIAGNOSTICS. NO ITEM REFLECTED FAILURE OR PAST FAULT. ACFT HAS 3 SEPARATE SYS FOR ALT INDICATIONS -- AIR DATA COMPUTER #1, #2 AND A STANDBY SYS -- ALL READ FL410.
