Narrative:
Center cleared us to cross merma intersection at 14000 ft. I programmed the FMC for the various intxns depicted on the tandy 2 arrival, but failed to enter the altitude at merma. The primary error here was a failure to xchk the descent point calculated by the FMC with long hand math which would have helped to discover the initial error. ATC advised it was no problem and there was no conflict.

Title: MLG FAILED TO CROSS MERMA INTXN AT 14000 FT AS CLRED.
Narrative: CTR CLRED US TO CROSS MERMA INTXN AT 14000 FT. I PROGRAMMED THE FMC FOR THE VARIOUS INTXNS DEPICTED ON THE TANDY 2 ARR, BUT FAILED TO ENTER THE ALT AT MERMA. THE PRIMARY ERROR HERE WAS A FAILURE TO XCHK THE DSCNT POINT CALCULATED BY THE FMC WITH LONG HAND MATH WHICH WOULD HAVE HELPED TO DISCOVER THE INITIAL ERROR. ATC ADVISED IT WAS NO PROB AND THERE WAS NO CONFLICT.
