Narrative:

As a first officer in an air carrier B747, and acting as PF, I requested step down altitude restrs for transitioning from the civet area at lax to ILS runway 25L altitude restrs on approach plate from the captain. He said that I could just follow the runway 25L GS down from arnes intersection of the civet arrival. I then informed him of a company NOTAM about following altitude xings on runway 25L ILS at lax and that the GS was not to be followed beyond 10 mi out. He then insisted that it must be a mistake and the ATIS must have meant 10000 ft for the restr of the GS and again told me to remain on the GS. Even at his insistence to remain on the runway 25L GS, I tried to stay at least 2 dots high until within 10 mi. I am not sure whether any altitudes were broken because he would not verify with me any crossing restrs. The next morning I asked him to listen to the 10 mi restr of runway 25L GS on lax ATIS, but he did not wish to argue the point anymore. Not only is this poor CRM, but a possibly dangerous transition at such a busy area.

Title: ACR FLC OF A B747 IS TOLD BY THE CAPT TO FOLLOW THE GS FROM CIVET TO TOUCHDOWN CONTRARY TO PUBLISHED RESTRS AND A COMPANY BULLETIN ON THIS PROC. THE FO (FLYING) STAYS HIGH IN AN EFFORT TO MEET XING RESTRS. THE CAPT DECIDES TO NOT HELP THE FO.

Narrative: AS A FO IN AN ACR B747, AND ACTING AS PF, I REQUESTED STEP DOWN ALT RESTRS FOR TRANSITIONING FROM THE CIVET AREA AT LAX TO ILS RWY 25L ALT RESTRS ON APCH PLATE FROM THE CAPT. HE SAID THAT I COULD JUST FOLLOW THE RWY 25L GS DOWN FROM ARNES INTXN OF THE CIVET ARR. I THEN INFORMED HIM OF A COMPANY NOTAM ABOUT FOLLOWING ALT XINGS ON RWY 25L ILS AT LAX AND THAT THE GS WAS NOT TO BE FOLLOWED BEYOND 10 MI OUT. HE THEN INSISTED THAT IT MUST BE A MISTAKE AND THE ATIS MUST HAVE MEANT 10000 FT FOR THE RESTR OF THE GS AND AGAIN TOLD ME TO REMAIN ON THE GS. EVEN AT HIS INSISTENCE TO REMAIN ON THE RWY 25L GS, I TRIED TO STAY AT LEAST 2 DOTS HIGH UNTIL WITHIN 10 MI. I AM NOT SURE WHETHER ANY ALTS WERE BROKEN BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT VERIFY WITH ME ANY XING RESTRS. THE NEXT MORNING I ASKED HIM TO LISTEN TO THE 10 MI RESTR OF RWY 25L GS ON LAX ATIS, BUT HE DID NOT WISH TO ARGUE THE POINT ANYMORE. NOT ONLY IS THIS POOR CRM, BUT A POSSIBLY DANGEROUS TRANSITION AT SUCH A BUSY AREA.
