Narrative:
Vectors off bpr arrival to final. We landed runway 35C without landing clearance from tower. We didn't know this until I asked if we should hold short of runway 35L and approach answered. Approach vectored us in high and cleared us for the visual and we struggled to fly the airplane into position and missed any frequency change to tower. I believe that approach didn't hand us off and that they vectored us in too close asking if we had the runway. The captain said we didn't but we saw a B757 and then they cleared us for the visual. Supplemental information from acn 349363: hazy visibility, slam-dunk from boids 5 late runway change. Told to follow B757 for visual to runway 35C. Trying to keep sight of B757 we were overtaking, monitoring checklist compliance, did not hear clearance to land. Looked at mechanical checklist, saw switch thrown for cleared to land. Decided not to verbally verify as captain was still trying to complete checklist. After landing when first officer advised we had cleared runway approach control advised to switch to tower frequency. Captain was sure approach control gave us clearance to land.

Title: MD11 INTL CREW PERFORMS AN UNAUTH LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC AT DFW ON FLT FROM NRT. ACFT STILL ON APCH CTL FREQ.
Narrative: VECTORS OFF BPR ARR TO FINAL. WE LANDED RWY 35C WITHOUT LNDG CLRNC FROM TWR. WE DIDN'T KNOW THIS UNTIL I ASKED IF WE SHOULD HOLD SHORT OF RWY 35L AND APCH ANSWERED. APCH VECTORED US IN HIGH AND CLRED US FOR THE VISUAL AND WE STRUGGLED TO FLY THE AIRPLANE INTO POS AND MISSED ANY FREQ CHANGE TO TWR. I BELIEVE THAT APCH DIDN'T HAND US OFF AND THAT THEY VECTORED US IN TOO CLOSE ASKING IF WE HAD THE RWY. THE CAPT SAID WE DIDN'T BUT WE SAW A B757 AND THEN THEY CLRED US FOR THE VISUAL. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 349363: HAZY VISIBILITY, SLAM-DUNK FROM BOIDS 5 LATE RWY CHANGE. TOLD TO FOLLOW B757 FOR VISUAL TO RWY 35C. TRYING TO KEEP SIGHT OF B757 WE WERE OVERTAKING, MONITORING CHKLIST COMPLIANCE, DID NOT HEAR CLRNC TO LAND. LOOKED AT MECHANICAL CHKLIST, SAW SWITCH THROWN FOR CLRED TO LAND. DECIDED NOT TO VERBALLY VERIFY AS CAPT WAS STILL TRYING TO COMPLETE CHKLIST. AFTER LNDG WHEN FO ADVISED WE HAD CLRED RWY APCH CTL ADVISED TO SWITCH TO TWR FREQ. CAPT WAS SURE APCH CTL GAVE US CLRNC TO LAND.
