Narrative:
I was 'cleared to runway 15L' from FBO which is off runway 15L. I taxied out and past the parallel taxiway which I was supposed to turn right onto. Due to rain on the windshield, unfamiliar area and taxi checklist, I missed the right turn. About 75 ft later I was about to reach what I thought was another taxiway, when in fact, it was runway 15L. I was able to stop and execute a 180 degree turn prior to the runway, however, there was an aircraft on short final which executed a missed approach about 30 degrees from touchdown. At the completion of my 180 degree turn, ground control called me. I had already discovered the situation and corrected it. I was told that bwi has ground reporting devices and the controller did not catch me missing my turn for a few seconds.

Title: AN ATX SMT FREIGHTER TAXIED PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE CAUSING AN INCOMING ACFT TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION GAR. WX FACTORS RAIN THAT CAUSED THE RPTR TO MISS A TXWY AND LOW CEILING. ERROR ADMITTED.
Narrative: I WAS 'CLRED TO RWY 15L' FROM FBO WHICH IS OFF RWY 15L. I TAXIED OUT AND PAST THE PARALLEL TXWY WHICH I WAS SUPPOSED TO TURN R ONTO. DUE TO RAIN ON THE WINDSHIELD, UNFAMILIAR AREA AND TAXI CHKLIST, I MISSED THE R TURN. ABOUT 75 FT LATER I WAS ABOUT TO REACH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS ANOTHER TXWY, WHEN IN FACT, IT WAS RWY 15L. I WAS ABLE TO STOP AND EXECUTE A 180 DEG TURN PRIOR TO THE RWY, HOWEVER, THERE WAS AN ACFT ON SHORT FINAL WHICH EXECUTED A MISSED APCH ABOUT 30 DEGS FROM TOUCHDOWN. AT THE COMPLETION OF MY 180 DEG TURN, GND CTL CALLED ME. I HAD ALREADY DISCOVERED THE SIT AND CORRECTED IT. I WAS TOLD THAT BWI HAS GND RPTING DEVICES AND THE CTLR DID NOT CATCH ME MISSING MY TURN FOR A FEW SECONDS.
