Narrative:
The airplane I was flying (#1) was circling near lowell, ma, and chelmsford, ma. The unknown aircraft (#2) was spotted approximately 8 mi to the west, flying near a military radar facility. Within mins #2 overtook #1 on a collision course. I took evasive action. I circled to keep an eye on #2 and he came at me again, after avoiding him again he came at me again and passed right over the top of me at no more than 75-100 ft causing me to cut power and dive almost 600 ft. I then left the area as soon as possible. I do not know why this individual did this 'stupid' action, but we do not need people in the skies doing this sort of 'dog fight' engagements. I climbed to 4500 ft and headed back to pvd, my home base.
