Narrative:
Local temporary NOTAM. Local beach hotel. Temporary flight restr. Previous day storm damage along west coast beaches required us to fly along beaches for damage (news). Heard tail end of conversation from spg tower on local temporary restr around airport, called local FSS about local NOTAMS (reported none). Conducted second flight beach area, landed. Called spg. Was advised on 2 local area restr (temporary) from control tower, advised to call tpa control. Found out more information, called local FSS, explained situation, put on hold. Found out about local NOTAMS concerning temporary flight restr. Long explanation on how I did not ask about NOTAMS the correct way.
