Narrative:

While taxiing into position and hold runway 4L jfk, and completing the runway checklist items, a B747 appeared to be lining up with runway 4L for landing. At XX14Z the nosewheel crossed the taxiway edge line by 10 ft. I stopped the aircraft and requested a tug to push us back to continue the taxi onto the runway. No damage to aircraft or edge lights. Departed 40 mins later. I was concerned about the landing aircraft and didn't want to be on the runway. I lost track of the taxiway centerline and did not complete the hard 90 degree turn at the end of taxiway K. Prevention: stop the aircraft or complete the turn and then look.
