Narrative:
Time: XA25Z. ATC frequency: 119.87. ATC facility: regional approach. Location: dfw 109 degree radial, 44D. We were descending at 290 KTS on the bowie 1 STAR into dfw when ATC asked our speed. 290 KTS was our reply. The arrival indicates that 280 KTS is required at bambe and that was about our location. We were concentrating on crossing kagle at 250 KTS and 11000 ft. The new arrs caught us off guard.
