Narrative:
Approaching dallas love field, we were on the gregs 1 arrival. At the last point on the arrival, our final fix put us on an extended final. At this point the arrival would have us vector to 80 degrees. Since the runway in use at dal was runway 13L, we continued as to be on extended final for runway 13L. Both the captain and myself mistook the published final vector and stayed on a 130 degree heading past the intersection. When we had the airport in sight we informed regional approach that we needed to start down. This caught his attention and he advised us that we should have turned at the previous intersection. At this point we had passed it by 25 mi and he vectored us around for the approach. Although the trip was uneventful, we felt that there may be the potential for this to happen in the future.

Title: FLC OF A LEAR JET 35 FAILED TO TURN TO A NEW HDG AT THE FINAL ARR STAR FIX DUE TO NOT ADHERING TO THE STAR FIX NOTE WHICH REQUESTED ALL ACFT TO TURN FOR LNDG SEQUENCE VECTOR TO FINAL APCH.

SINCE THE RWY IN USE AT DAL WAS RWY 13L, WE CONTINUED AS TO BE ON EXTENDED FINAL FOR RWY 13L. BOTH THE CAPT AND MYSELF MISTOOK THE PUBLISHED FINAL VECTOR AND STAYED ON A 130 DEG HDG PAST THE INTXN. WHEN WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT WE INFORMED REGIONAL APCH THAT WE NEEDED TO START DOWN. THIS CAUGHT HIS ATTN AND HE ADVISED US THAT WE SHOULD HAVE TURNED AT THE PREVIOUS INTXN.
