Narrative:
ZAU cleared us to cross 50 mi south of ord at 10000 ft. We read back 50 mi south of ord at 10000 ft and upon reaching 10000 ft, ZFW said they had cleared us to 11000 ft. We told them we heard and read back 10000 ft and they asked us to climb to 11000 ft which we did immediately with no known conflict with other aircraft.
