Narrative:
At approximately 1400 ft AGL on ILS final runway 18R dfw received a sudden TCASII RA showing an airplane 100 ft directly above us and a descend command. We started down immediately and the display showed the aircraft to be 200 ft above us and then suddenly disappeared. We were in and out of the clouds. We asked dfw tower if they had any traffic in our vicinity and they said the closest was about 3 mi away. We were on GS at first and descended about 1 DOT low and about 300 ft altogether before recovering.
