Narrative:

Clearance read 'logan 1 expect 4000 ft.' I read back 'logan 1 to 4000 ft.' I noted the altitude change in the clearance so I read back the entire clearance instead of just the squawk code. Normal clearance reads logan 1 climb to 3000 ft, expect 4000 ft in 10 mins. Departure asked about altitude of 4000 ft. I told him that was what was read back to clearance delivery. He said no problem, requested that the tapes be marked.
