Narrative:
Aircraft was under tow to a run-up area. Along with crew members in cockpit was a mechanic in touch with tow operator. Tow operator, while pushing our aircraft a B767, into run-up hangar, got off yellow line and struck the roof of hangar causing damage to aircraft and building. Supplemental information from acn 353767: he said the tail of the aircraft had hit 'the roof of the hangar' behind us. We inspected a 1 inch by 2 and one half inch hole in sheet metal on roofing edge of hangar and scratches and possible dents of rudder -- upper/aft edge. Wing walkers gave a 'stop' to driver but he did not take action. Language differences -- speaking german between maintenance, jump seat and tractor driver.
