Narrative:
Landed at dulles airport iad without landing clearance. Events: local sales demonstration flight, VMC iad to westminster VORTAC and return. Last contact with ATC prior to landing was approach control giving clearance for practice ILS runway 19R approach. Problem arose by expecting handoff to tower -- none given. Discovered after landing, still on runway, when I noticed upon reaching up to switch to ground control that I had not ever switched to tower frequency. Contributing: sole factor for problem was discussion and close observation of PF (the sales prospect) to answer questions during approach, and monitor for safety. Corrective action: none made (I had already landed). Lesson learned: fly first -- sell second. As a side note, I contacted the tower supervisor on duty at the time, and he reported that nobody had said anything to him, nor had he noticed the problem.

Title: MANUFACTURER DEMO FLT LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: LANDED AT DULLES ARPT IAD WITHOUT LNDG CLRNC. EVENTS: LCL SALES DEMONSTRATION FLT, VMC IAD TO WESTMINSTER VORTAC AND RETURN. LAST CONTACT WITH ATC PRIOR TO LNDG WAS APCH CTL GIVING CLRNC FOR PRACTICE ILS RWY 19R APCH. PROB AROSE BY EXPECTING HDOF TO TWR -- NONE GIVEN. DISCOVERED AFTER LNDG, STILL ON RWY, WHEN I NOTICED UPON REACHING UP TO SWITCH TO GND CTL THAT I HAD NOT EVER SWITCHED TO TWR FREQ. CONTRIBUTING: SOLE FACTOR FOR PROB WAS DISCUSSION AND CLOSE OBSERVATION OF PF (THE SALES PROSPECT) TO ANSWER QUESTIONS DURING APCH, AND MONITOR FOR SAFETY. CORRECTIVE ACTION: NONE MADE (I HAD ALREADY LANDED). LESSON LEARNED: FLY FIRST -- SELL SECOND. AS A SIDE NOTE, I CONTACTED THE TWR SUPVR ON DUTY AT THE TIME, AND HE RPTED THAT NOBODY HAD SAID ANYTHING TO HIM, NOR HAD HE NOTICED THE PROB.
