Narrative:
Approximately 30 DME ese alamosa encountered severe CAT. Flight attendant immediately advised of injuries to passenger and flight attendants. ATC said moderate turbulence encountered by aircraft arriving cos, co, so eliminated that as diversion point. Assessment of passenger injuries determined ok to proceed to slc. Notified ft worth dispatch we needed medical assistance in slc and continued to destination. Deplaned 12 injured passenger and 2 flight attendants. Supplemental information from acn 354909: encountered severe turbulence in VFR conditions over front range of rockies. Captain turned seat belt at front range. 12 passenger hurt and 2 flight attendants. Captain went to cabin to assess damage to passenger and plane, wings, engine, etc. Because all front range fields calling moderate turbulence and no major injuries elected to continue on to slc. Landing uneventful. All personnel involved in air and on ground did an exemplary job. Great loft scenario.
