Narrative:
We were cleared for the visual to runway 19R at sfo but maintain 3000 ft until 7 mi final. We were given traffic (DC10) to look out for, on visual to left runway. In the process of looking for the DC10 and getting cleared the visual, the captain dropped to 2400 ft at 7 mi. Nothing was ever advised to us as a violation by ATC. We were then turned over to tower. The rest of approach to landing was normal.
