Narrative:
In sum: upon landing in cmh at or around XA45 on jan 1997 all 4 main tires blew. The captain had enough momentum to pull the aircraft off and clear of the runway. No injuries or other damage to the aircraft. It is the belief of the captain and the first officer that the tires blew due to the failure of the anti-skid system. There was no warning prior to landing. After the tires and brakes were changed by the company mechanics the flight crew ferried the aircraft to a company maintenance base. Upon selecting gear down for ldng the crew was alerted to an anti-skid failure on the central warning panel. After cycling the gear the light went out. The crew performed according to company policy and training and landed without further incidence. We found out later that maintenance replaced the anti-skid computer.
