Approximately 1 hour 10 mins after takeoff, #2 bottle disc EICAS message, along with discharge light on center pedestal, illuminated. Talked to dispatch. Agreed to return to jfk. Held approximately 15 mins to burn down below 178000 pounds for landing.

Title: B767 RECEIVED AN EICAS MESSAGE THAT #2 BOTTLE HAD DISCHARGED AND THEY ALSO GOT A DISCHARGE LIGHT. AFTER COORDINATING WITH DISPATCH IT WAS DECIDED TO RETURN TO JFK. A FALSE WARNING IS POSSIBLE BUT A SPONTANEOUS EXTINGUISHER DISCHARGE IS MORE LIKELY.
Narrative: APPROX 1 HR 10 MINS AFTER TKOF, #2 BOTTLE DISC EICAS MESSAGE, ALONG WITH DISCHARGE LIGHT ON CTR PEDESTAL, ILLUMINATED. TALKED TO DISPATCH. AGREED TO RETURN TO JFK. HELD APPROX 15 MINS TO BURN DOWN BELOW 178000 LBS FOR LNDG.
