Narrative:

While flying from abq to vny, I had not spoken with center for quite awhile. I looked up the local center frequency and they told me that they had been trying to reach me for 200 NM. They said they had to divert a military operation because they couldn't reach me. I heard ATC and I heard other aircraft, but no xmissions were directed to me. I believe the factors relating to this were the misunderstanding of a frequency, lack of noise attenuating headsets so the speaker noise blended in with aircraft noise while flying in vast openness (az and NM). Pilot fatigue may have been a factor due to an early morning departure and also unfamiliarity with the region.
