Narrative:
It was a perfect VMC day and many aircraft were on all ATC frequencys. We were on an IFR flight plan and on a final approach segment of an ILS approach. I was demonstrating technique when I noticed we were on short final to runway 27 at ahn airport. I saw a plane on the runway and initiated a 90 degree turn to the left to avoid the runway environment and traffic. I contacted tower and idented myself. I believe the problem arose due to an extremely busy center controller not giving me a frequency change to ahn tower. I was distraction by explaining ILS technique and discovered the intrusion to the runway only on short final. I immediately turned to avoid the airport and called ahn tower to get instructions to maneuver clear of traffic. There was no imminent danger to any persons or property. I feel the causative factors included my distraction in demonstrating an ILS approach and heavy workload by center controllers.

Narrative: IT WAS A PERFECT VMC DAY AND MANY ACFT WERE ON ALL ATC FREQS. WE WERE ON AN IFR FLT PLAN AND ON A FINAL APCH SEGMENT OF AN ILS APCH. I WAS DEMONSTRATING TECHNIQUE WHEN I NOTICED WE WERE ON SHORT FINAL TO RWY 27 AT AHN ARPT. I SAW A PLANE ON THE RWY AND INITIATED A 90 DEG TURN TO THE L TO AVOID THE RWY ENVIRONMENT AND TFC. I CONTACTED TWR AND IDENTED MYSELF. I BELIEVE THE PROB AROSE DUE TO AN EXTREMELY BUSY CTR CTLR NOT GIVING ME A FREQ CHANGE TO AHN TWR. I WAS DISTR BY EXPLAINING ILS TECHNIQUE AND DISCOVERED THE INTRUSION TO THE RWY ONLY ON SHORT FINAL.
