Narrative:
Location: J18 30 NM west of irk. FL330, southwest of irk, we received clearance to descend to FL310. Captain responded out of FL330 for FL310. ATC gave no response. While descending through FL318 we received another clearance to descend to FL310. Captain responded that we were descending to FL310. At FL312 ATC said that the clearance to FL310 for another aircraft and now cleared us to climb to FL330. We did that. There was no statement made to hurry. There was no indication of a conflict on TCASII. Nothing else was said about the incident.

Title: ALTDEV ALT EXCURSION FROM ASSIGNED OR CORRECT ALT. OPDEV WHEN ARTCC RADAR CTLR TECHNIQUE COM USES WRONG AIRLINE AND FLT NUMBER FOR AMENDED CLRNC ALT CHANGE.
Narrative: LOCATION: J18 30 NM W OF IRK. FL330, SW OF IRK, WE RECEIVED CLRNC TO DSND TO FL310. CAPT RESPONDED OUT OF FL330 FOR FL310. ATC GAVE NO RESPONSE. WHILE DSNDING THROUGH FL318 WE RECEIVED ANOTHER CLRNC TO DSND TO FL310. CAPT RESPONDED THAT WE WERE DSNDING TO FL310. AT FL312 ATC SAID THAT THE CLRNC TO FL310 FOR ANOTHER ACFT AND NOW CLRED US TO CLB TO FL330. WE DID THAT. THERE WAS NO STATEMENT MADE TO HURRY. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF A CONFLICT ON TCASII. NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID ABOUT THE INCIDENT.
