Narrative:
Our taxi clearance to the active runway was given and to pass behind a beech 1900 aircraft. We saw a brasilia aircraft. When we questioned the controller, we received an unaddressed unintelligible response. By the time we figured out that we were told to give way to the brasilia, we were already past the intersection. There was no conflict and had adequate separation.
