Narrative:
We were cleared for the tipp toe visual into sfo for a landing runway 28L. At 14 DME of oak VOR the controller called us and said that 'you are supposed to cross menlo at 4000 ft MSL, be careful.' to the best of our knowledge we did cross menlo at 4000 ft in accordance with big sur arrival.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE TIPP TOE VISUAL INTO SFO FOR A LNDG RWY 28L. AT 14 DME OF OAK VOR THE CTLR CALLED US AND SAID THAT 'YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CROSS MENLO AT 4000 FT MSL, BE CAREFUL.' TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE WE DID CROSS MENLO AT 4000 FT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BIG SUR ARR.
