Narrative:
Conducting engineering test of pitch-up due to thrust reverser deployment. Cleared for high speed taxi. Deployed thrust inertia reversers at test condition, aircraft went airborne. Pilot executed a climb out, no damage, no conflict. During engineering flight testing of experimental aircraft -- be prepared for the unexpected.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: TEST PLT CREW OF A C560XL EXPERIMENTAL ACFT WERE MAKING A HIGH SPD TAXI TO TEST A NEW THRUST INERTIA REVERSER AND BECAME AIRBORNE WHEN THE REVERSERS WERE DEPLOYED. THEY REGAINED CTL OF THE ACFT AND CONTINUED TO CLB OUT FROM THE LIFT-OFF.
