Narrative:

I departed sac on a part 135 flight to mmsd. The climb out, takeoff, and leveloff were normal. I then set up a normal cruise at FL250 with the autoplt engaged. After a few mins I heard 2 loud bangs from the right engine. I immediately looked over the engine instruments and noticed the right itt at 1000 degrees C, well above redline. I shut down the right engine, advised center and requested to return to ccr. Also I could not maintain FL250 and requested FL200. As I approached FL200 I requested to continue my descent, as I wanted to maintain my best forward airspeed. I landed in ccr aprox 45 mins later with no further problems.
