Narrative:
Clearance was to navigation direct to bucko intersection via GPS. GPS failed to alert us of arrival at bucko thereby causing us to get substantially off course. ATC advised us and issued a vector to get back on the jason arrival to iad. GPS normally flashes an alert when nearing a fix and then automatically changes over to navigation to the next fix. Neither of these events occurred. GPS operation will be tested and corrected.
