Narrative:
OM walet 7 arrival at 10000 ft. Instructed to slow to 210 then descend to 7000 ft. When slats extended, blue takeoff light did not illuminate. This distraction me from turning at 8 DME to heading of 355 degrees. Maintained original heading for about 2 mi before I caught my error and immediately turned to the proper heading. Approach control called a few seconds later and put us on a 340 degree heading to get us back on track. On the ground the captain called to see if there was any problem. She was told there was not. I will be more aware of distrs, especially the unusual ones, when I am flying in the future.
