Narrative:
Aircraft carried active MEL which calls for minimum 25000 pounds fuel in affected tank. Flight release was for 41500 pounds which distributes only 20800 pounds in affected tank. PIC indicated boost pump operated normally, discrepancy not realized until after takeoff, 7000 pounds was designated unusable for landing on release.

Title: A BOOST PUMP WAS INOP ON THIS ACR ACFT. THE MEL REQUIRED A MINIMUM OF 25000 LBS OF FUEL IN THE AFFECTED TANK BUT ONLY 20800 LBS WAS BOARDED.
Narrative: ACFT CARRIED ACTIVE MEL WHICH CALLS FOR MINIMUM 25000 LBS FUEL IN AFFECTED TANK. FLT RELEASE WAS FOR 41500 LBS WHICH DISTRIBUTES ONLY 20800 LBS IN AFFECTED TANK.
